The COMM!T web app keeps people accountable to their friends by publishing to a select group whether or not the user has done a GPS check-in at their polling place. Once a user clicks "COMM!T", their group will get a notification on election day—whether the user checks in or not—and commitments cannot be revoked. COMM!T does provide a few backup options at check-in time to give users and their friends an opportunity to hash things out socially. COMM!T sends users reminders that include a link utilizing Google's Civic Data API to identify and check-in at their polling place.
